Bamboo is a custom publishing and editorial branding group with offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai. We produce a wide range of publications for corporations and organisations, primarily in Chinese and English.
Our products include, but are not limited to, customer magazines, internal magazines, newsletters, image publications, brochures, translations, online productions, advertisements, etc.
Our strengths are journalistic skill and experience, quality translations, modern design and efficient project management.
Bamboo has offices in Hong Kong (since 1996) and Shanghai (since 2002). We have valuable experience working in China, the world’s second largest economy, although we produce publications wherever our clients are – in their own language.
Since October 2003, Bamboo Business Communications Ltd has been owned jointly by ScanAsia Consulting Ltd, managed by Staffan Löfgren (see www.scanasia.com) and Bamboo’s Managing Director, Jan Hökerberg. In Asia, Bamboo was previously known as Appelberg.
Bamboo Business Communications Ltd wholly owns Bamboo Business Consulting (Shanghai) Co, Ltd, which, in 2002, was the first foreign-owned company within our niche in China to obtain a wholly foreign-owned enterprise (WFOE) licence.
Currently, we are a team of 12 serving more than 20 clients. We also cooperate with an extensive network of freelance editors, designers and photographers as well as printers and other suppliers.
Our client list includes a wide range of companies and organisations, such as AkzoNobel, Atlas Copco, Gammon Construction, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Höganäs, Iggesund Paperboard, Konecranes, Sandvik, Sapa Heat Transfer, Scania, SKF, Smith & Nephew, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Trelleborg, among others.
